What color/kind of shoes go with chocolate brown bridesmaid dress with mint green sash?

I am having trouble coordinating the best color and type of shoe that will look best with my bridesmaid dress.

You can choose the "chocolate" swatch to change the color of the dress. But this site won't let you see the sash color on the dress--it will open a new window to show you sash colors, in this case it's "mint."



The bride has given us free reign over the shoes we choose so I don't want to let her down. A friend of mine told me that an open-toe shoe with a heel is the style I want. I'm not great in heels so that makes me nervous--but I'm sure it will look best.



So what color shoe do you suggest? Brown? Is there another color that might be more interesting without being tacky? Definitely a heel? Open toe? Oh, and maybe a good place to buy inexpensive shoes?



If you can include a link to an example I would appreciate it--though it's not necessary.

The above are some styles that might suit you. I know the mint green might seem more interesting but the trouble is it is a difficult color to find unless you get Dyeables and get them dyed and chances are you won't wear them again.



I think the chocolate brown satin looks classy and elegant. I also like the metallic bronze colors. You will find much more to choose from if you look for chocolate brown or bronze metallic shoes. Both will look lovely with that dress.

Reply:I think it'd be way to hard to try to find a shoe that perfectly matches the colors of your dress.



Instead, I'd go for a dark metallic gold. Just make sure it's not too flashy or tacky. And definitely go for a heel. It's a short dress so show off those legs!
