Reply:Don't really know but it gives me fresh breath when I eat it with my mint peanut butter sandwich.
Reply:Mint Jelly was popularized by serving it with lamb in the 80's. A long lived fad- like spandex pants, unfortunatly this fad stuck around. Most people recommend it, but if you know anything about fine dining it really is a sin to serve mint jelly with meat!
Reply:It's better for rubbing on your neck then eating it! I would feed it to the rats, not ruin the wonderful taste of a rack of delicate lamb chops!!! Stupid recipe that won't go away.
Reply:My husband loves it with lamb, and I like it in chocolate thumbprint cookies [I use just a bit inside each thumbprint with a chocolate chip or two.].
