Harry Potter books, complete with till receipts and free gifts are worth anything? I have the last 3 Harry potter books, all unread and would possibly like to sell them.
Does any one know if mint condition, first day of issue, unread?
Not really valuable at all. A small run of books was printed of the Philosophers Stone before the main print run was done. These very first edition books are like gold dust and are therefore worth a lot. However, after that the print runs were huge and therefore there are a lot of first editions out there. This, coupled with the fact that many people are aware of first editions (look at how many people bought the new Star Wars figures and kept them in their boxes) will keep the prices low for a long time.
Reply:I doubt that even the 1st 3, first editions, signed by the Author that I have are worth very much. Just to many around of all the books.
Reply:only the first edition of the first book is valuable
Reply:To be honest, I think it would be a waste of time because you could get those books ANYWHERE and the range for competition on pricing, availability, etc. is VERY broad. I would recommend either selling them on eBay starting at an incredibly low price and letting people bid it up, or giving it to someone you know as a gift.
