I in need of a hood for my 1999 camaro. It is pewter. Any idea where i can buy one that is in mint condition?

I want it to be a direct bolt on and not need a paint job? I have checked all the local junk yards.

Reply:Uh, Where did you find a pewter hood? pewter is a very heavy metal. gm never used it as a factory option. Not sure why you would want another one. It'll save you a ton of weight to not put it on. Now to find a factory hood I would contact the dealerships and body shops. maybe the wrecking yards but to find one in mint condition will never happen unless it is brand new with fresh paint.
Reply:i have one, factory metal oem hood with pewter paint came off a 98 but it will fit you just have to transfer the hood latch to this one and your heat pad. 1200. the gm dealership sells stock hoods for 1200.00 with out paint. i up graded to teh ram air hood on my 98 camaro fiberglass hood with functional hood scoop. with paint and everything was 650. make all the difference in the world in look , bought it on ebay!
