thexrayboy has is all correct. Pretty much a mint julep is ....
Muddled mint
Crushed ice
Simple syrup (melted sugar and water mixture)
And good Ky bourbon (Knob Creek, Woodford Reserve, Maker's Mark)
If you were to make a mint julep without alcohol following the original recipe you would be drinking minty tasting flavored sugar water.
So no it is not possible to make a non-alcoholic mint julep. If you want to offer a non-alcoholic drink with a similar feel of a mint julep...Muddle mint in the bottom of the glass. Fill glass with crushed ice. Pour sweet tea over and garnish with a fresh mint sprig. It's called Iced Tea with Mint.
Is it possible to make an alcohol-free mint julep?
Is it possible? Yes. But why on earth would you want to.
It was concieved as an alcoholic beverage. To make it without
good Kentucky Bourbon is sacrilege.
Reply:Sure, just follow your recipe but leave out the alcohol.
Reply:Try a mojito. But with the alcohol. hhahaha

Reply:Yeah, it's called Iced Tea with mint.
Reply:Yeah and they sell it at Disneyland in New Orleans Square, but I have no idea what the recipe is.
