Why does water feel super cold after eating mint, and hot after eating spicy foods?

Why?

Why does water feel super cold after eating mint, and hot after eating spicy foods?
Nobody ever looks for the answers...or anything! this is getting annoying..

Spices make your mouth feel hot and those oils stay in your mouth for a while, Water spreads it around in your mouth and makes it "hotter".

Mint contains menthol, which is a proven cooling agent and makes your mouth feel cool. Same affect from water.

Reply:No, it's not just you it happens to ME TOO!!! Hmmmm, I wonder why?!?!?!?
Reply:I don't know the answer, but that's an EXCELLENT question.
