Homemade Mint Chocolate cake recipe needed!?

I would like a HOME MADE(nothing that calls for a box of cake mix) Mint Chocolate Cake/Cupcake recipe. I would like the cake and the frosting to both have a mint flavor. And I want to only use one type of mint: peppermint or green mint. I haven't found anything good online.

Any recipes or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I saw this Martha Stewart issue at the supermarket and when you asked it popped into my head. Check out this recipe (just add 1 teaspoon of extract to your cake too), but it should float your boat.
