How much is a Taurus .38 Special model 85 worth in mint condition?

.38 Special

5 rounds

Stainless Steel

Model built in either 2003 or 2004 I forget which.

Gun has had less than 50 rounds through it, just wondering what a gun store or pawn shop should give me for a 'fair' price.

Basically looking to buy a NAA Guardian .380 to replace it, so I could use: Trade Value, Sell Value, or what I should put it up for sale on Consignment for?

Taurus resale is a little weak (especially in that caliber ), I would say nock off 20 to 25% of new value.

So from $200. To about $225. Would be reasonable ( on auction it could go higher ).

I would suggest using it in trade at the very least, that usually gets a better deal seeing that gun shop prefer to take in cash, and don’t like handing cash out as well.

Now you could get possibly a better price for it on one of the online auctions sites.

Because you would have a better chance to find some one wonting the 38 special there by cutting out the middle man and getting paid more for it, as apposed to selling it to a dealer who wants his cut of the pie.
