if you pick fresh, days to a week. wash and roll in damp cup or paper towel. if from market, who knows how old they are...a couple days, max.If like lettuce they get wilted and edges dehydrate, and begin to darken...toss them. I have chopped them and covered them in a small container to freeze. Keeps about 3-4 mos.
How long can you keep fresh mint leaves in the frig?
As long as they look and smell fresh and don't have mold on them. Put them in a glass or jar of water like you would with a small boquet of flowers. The sprigs will actually keep on the countertop; like this but they'll probably stay fresher and crisper in the fridge.
I pick various kinds of mint that has naturalized in my area and use it as boquets in glasses of water and they usually start putting out roots. Mint can live in a glass of water for a really long time...then I plant it in the yard.

After that they just go bad.
Reply:Put them in a ziplock with a paper towel. The moisture will be absorbed into the towel. It should help keep them for a while.
Reply:They are fine up until they start to wilt. Keep them in a closed container with a paper towel to absorb moisture, and they will probably last 7 to 10 days.
