Did the Denver mint make any misprint quarters in 1972 that didn't get the nickle coating?

I have a 1972 quarter denver mint that doesn't have the nickle clad coating.

Yes a few are known to exist it is an error called missing clad layer. A full missing layer is worth more but even small spot are worth a lot depending on grade.

Here is an example of a 1979 selling for $120.

Reply:Just because I have one doesn't necessarily mean any were stamped how about environmental damage? I found the quarter buried next to concrete. Report It
Reply:It is possible, environmental damage would leave pits and a rough appearance I know concrete is caustic but I would take a good picture of it and either send it to a coin collector. Report It
Reply:ok well if you HAVE one then i guess they did.
