Mint jelly for lamb chops?

I am making lamb chops tomorrow night for dinner. I bought straight up plain, mint jelly at the grocery store. Should I be using something else? Or combining something with it?

Or should it be fine as is? Also how would you serve it - side if with the lamb chops?

Thank you so much!

Mint jelly for lamb chops?
You put the jelly in a bowl with a serving spoon so people can take as much as they want. Right out of the jar into the bowl is fine. Not everyone likes mint jelly
Reply:I put a few tablespoons of the jelly in a small pan, melt it really slowly over a very low heat %26amp; then use this to coat the lamb chops with before cooking. They taste fantastic.
Reply:Serve the mint sauce or jelly on the side. Not everyone likes it and I'm one of those people. I prefer just to have gravy.
Reply:This is traditional in some households but I don't like it. I would let people decide for themselves whether this is the right thing to do. Put it on the table in a dish and people can help themselves. The English use something called mint sauce which is a sweet and sour mint combination. You might offer some mild vinegar in a second dish so people can try that combination.

Myself, I like to coat the chops with garlic, mustard, rosemary and thyme during the cooking sauce and then making a pan sauce. No mint to be found.
Reply:You bought the right one....just serve it on the side and let people add it if they want it...If lamb chops are good, I won't eat them with the AppleMint Jelly. My Husband smears his up pretty good with the jelly...
Reply:yeah, that's what people use. i prefer some gravy.
Reply:i suggest to leave it out and use either APPLE SAUCE or BBQ SAUCE
Reply:Mint jelly and lamb chops is a classic combination, just smear a little bit on the top of each piece before you serve it.
