If the US dollar is losing value, than why does the mint continue to pour out the bills?

Wouldn't a long break from producing bills and coins increase the worth of the dollar back to former glory?

If the US dollar is losing value, than why does the mint continue to pour out the bills?
yes it would, but we wouldn't be selling as many of our products worldwide because they would cost more. we have taken the idea of devaluing our currency to sell what we produce from the chinese government. they been doing it for the few years, their economy has been growing 10 to 11 percent per year. look at the tag on most of your clothes, made in china, its hard to find any clothes made in the usa. if you have enjoyed imported oil, then you are going to love imported food and clothing in the years to come if we don't stop exporting our manufacturing plants. we are cotton/corn farmers, 2 out of 3 bales of cotton is exported out of the u.s. to make cotton products and them shipped back to the u.s. do you know we used to consume 16 million bales of cotton in the u.s. and export 4 million bales? in 2008 we will export 16 million bales and only spin 4 to 5 million bales into cotton products. if people would start purchasing american made products instead of imported products that are a little cheaper, just think of all the jobs and money that would stay within our borders and not continue to flow out. the public seems to be very concerned about job safety, environmental degradation of our country from farming and manufacturing, violation of child labor laws and the pollution being generated from manufacturing, but have NO problem purchasing foreign made products from countries that pollute the earth, work children 7 days a week, use chemicals and pesticides that have been banned in this country for 30 years and have almost no job safety for their employees all because it is what? it is cheaper, thats why.
